What I'm drinking...

2003 Borsao Campo de Borja

This is a damn good value wine. You shouldn't have to pay more than $9 for it. But it packs a ton of flavor into its value status. Deep, inky garnet color, raspberries and oak. It's AWESOME.

Recommended by a guy at Downer's Wine and Spirits in Milwaukee. I, in turn, recommended the Mas de Guiot Cabernet/Syrah blend...even as I took the last bottle they had. :)

Though this is more of a "meat-lovers pizza" wine, I'm going to test it against a leftover bowl of my yummy lentil soup, while watching tonight's reruns of Deadwood. Have I ever mentioned how much I LOVE THAT SHOW?
