What I'm cooking...

Lentil soup from Allrecipes.com. I had a craving for it. I figure, if my body's craving lentils rather than cheese or licorice, I'd better listen.

I deviated from the recipe just a bit, tossing in a little red wine, and using vegetable bouillon in the water. I also put in a teaspoon of the Salsa Atomica I got at Zingerman's last Sunday with the gift card my all-too-generous dear hermanito, Yosh, got me for Christmas. It's simmering now. In about 15 minutes, I'll add the spinach and vinegar and dive in. Perhaps I'll watch "O' Brother, Where Art Thou" again, since I fell asleep watching it last Saturday evening...
